Photocopier parts in all international brands in detail

Document copier parts: Everyone sees or deals with copier machines on a daily basis, but he does not know how they work or the main components of them, and we want to educate the Arab reader about how to deal with these machines, the first thing that he should know is the main document copier parts.

In general, all international brands are similar in the idea of ??making a copier, and this means that a large number of parts of copiers are the same in all these brands, and there are some components that we find in certain models and not others.

A good example of this is the Venture Distribution Unit, which we find essential in the Xerox copiers and not found in Ricoh machines.

The most important parts of copiers

  •  Feeder Automatic Unit
  • Paper Deck .
  • Drum Unit.
  • Control panel.

Feeder Automatic Unit

Known as the document feeder, it feeds the machine with the documents to be photographed automatically, without having to lift the top glass cover.

There are two types of this device:

  • Automatic paper feeding device:

It pulls a picture of one side of each paper that will be photographed, where the paper is displayed on the glass surface for the scanner to take a picture of it, and then comes out again.

Automatic Reverse Paper Feeder:
It is similar to the way the automatic paper feeder works, but it is characterized by its ability to photograph both sides of the paper, as it turns the paper after photographing the first side to photograph the second as well.

  • Paper Deck drawer unit:

It is one of the most important parts of copiers, without it any machine will not perform its primary function, whether it is printing or copying.

Each machine has more than one tray, used to place the photocopy paper in it, so the user can print the paper in different sizes.

This is by allocating the trays to specific sizes, to withdraw the machine from them according to the sizes of the printing orders issued to them.

Drum Unit:

It is the most common parts of copiers, as it is the beating heart of copiers and the first responsible for the printing process, any malfunction or a problem with it directly affects the quality of the printed image.

And it has a cylinder made of nickel or aluminum, which is coated with a light-sensitive material, which uses the positive and negative electrical charges to print the image on it when the document is exposed to light, and when the paper crosses through it the image is printed on it using ink.

Control panel:

If the DRUM unit is the heart of the control panel photocopiers it is the mind that controls it, through which the user can control everything inside the machine.

It is one of the parts of the copiers that the user must master in order to work with the copier, and it includes stop and restart buttons, fax, scanner and printer.

There is also a screen that contains a number of indicators such as degree of clarity, contrast, number of copies, paper size, ink and paper and oil penetration indicators, etc.

And with the progress and development in the field of manufacturing photocopiers, this plate has become supportive of touch, as it can enter the settings of the machine and choose between its systems through the Touch Screen.

Duplex Unit

It is called the duplex unit, which is the unit responsible for turning the paper on the second side if you want to photograph automatically on both sides.
Where the paper goes to it after printing the first side, to take a printing session again on the second side without user intervention.
Fusing Unit:
Some call it the melting and fastening unit, which is the last stage that the paper passes on before it comes out in its final form to the user.
This unit is responsible for melting the ink pellets and installing them on paper by pressing, which is one of the most important parts of copiers.

DEVELOPER UNIT

This unit depends on two elements in the performance of its mission, namely:
• Ink: It is a plastic granule to which ink, chewing, wax and other materials are added. These materials are important for acquiring electric charges.
• Developers: and some are called pregnant, which are spherical granules consisting of iron or iron oxide coated with a resin that provides it with a charge other than the ink charge.
When the imaging process is completed, the two components are mixed with us in certain quantities, so the ink will be fixed on the paper.

Laser unit:

It is responsible for creating the complete image of the document to be photographed on the surface of the dram, and is responsible for printing the image on paper, as it is an essential part of the copier parts.

Photocopier parts are many and multiple, and are not limited to the aforementioned components only, but we will talk about the rest in other old_articles to come, so follow us.
